Its easy designing your new banner!
General questions relating to the order and specification of banners can be found on the FAQ page but here we have some information and helpful tips on using our software to make the perfect banner that you require.
Stage 1, Select the banner size you would like:-
Start to create your printed banner by first selecting the size of the banner you require. All the prices can be found along side the sizes of the banner on the create a banner page. Simply move your mouse over the banner size you require and click on your mouse to select. You will notice the banner illustration on screen will change to proportionally represent the banner size you have selected. Once you are ready to design your banner click on the continue button that can be found at the bottom of the screen window.
Stage 2, printed banner colour selection:-
Now you are onto the second part and already well on the way to designing your new printed banner. At present we offer our banners in a range of six colours. On the left hand side of the screen you will find the main feature menu. click on 'background colour'. Now simply select the banner colour you would like to use from the colour chart at the bottom of the screen. Currently we use six primary colours but should you require a different colour please contact us by email or telephone.
Stage 3, Managing banner images:-
We offer some clipart images that you are welcome to add to your printed banner. There is no additional charge for using these images and your welcome to use as many as you would like. Images can be found on the main feature menu under 'Manage Images'. Once again simply click on the images you would like to use.
Stage 4, Adding text to your printed banner:-
Your bound to want to add some text to your banner and heres how to do it. In the main feature menu on the left of the screen you will find 'Manage Images'. Click upon this to select it. The coloured banner you have already chosen should be displayed in the centre of your screen. We strongly recommend that you design your banner in stages now, adding one line of text of one sentance at a time. Each line of text is editable and you can change the colour of each part of the text. On the bottom left of your screen you will see a small white box that says 'Type your text here'. First of all you must delete this text to clear the box. Now type in the first message you want to display on your banner. Once you've typed it in click on 'Insert New Text'. This can be found glowing brightly under the main feature menu. Now you will see the text appear onto your banner. To change the colour of the text simply click the desired colour on the colour bar found on the left hand side of the screen. To change the style of the writing ( typeface / font) simply select the font name of style you prefere from the font menu on the left of the screen.
Helpful Hints:-
Making the text bigger or smaller:-
To make the images or text bigger or smaller on your banner, simply click select the word or image on the banner canvas then click on the 'enlarge' or 'reduce' button which can be found at the bottom of the screen.
Deleting unwanted text or images:-
To delete unwanted text or images from your printed banner, simply click the mouse on the image or line of text you wish to remove from the canvas and then click on the delete button.
Adding more text:-
To add a second, third or fouth line of text to your banner is easy. simply click on the glowing 'insert new text' icon found under the main feature menu on the left of the screen. Now you will now see a duplicate of the last text that you wrote appear on the banner canvas. Now move your mouse and select this incorrect text and re-edit it on the banner canvas to your desired text. (This part can take a little trial and error to master).
Overlapping images and text:-
If you want to design your banner and overlay text across an image, this is simple on the banner design software. The software has a layers feature. Lets imagine you design a banner with an image and you want the text to go across or through the image but you find part of the text or image cannot be seen because the image is on top of it. By clicking on 'send to front' bring the text on top of the image so that it can be read and lays ontop or across the image. This also works in revers by clicking on 'send to back'.
Reduce and Enlarge:-
You can reduce or enlarge images and text to suit the size of the banner. Simply click on the 'enlarge' or 'reduce' icon on the bottom of the screen.
